We have been learning about
community helpers, like firefighters, police officers, postal workers and
teachers. We invited our friend
Constable Tara White into our classroom to talk about some of things she does
to help in our community. The kids got
to hold her bullet-proof vest, her handcuffs and her baton. She said she would come back in the spring
and let us sit in her patrol car! We had
LOTS of questions about safety and learned a lot about being a police officer.
