Peak at Our Week

Our week was full of play and polar bears.  Here we are in action:

J'aime les ours polaires!  

 

We measured out the length of a real-life-sized polar bear (2.5 m - 3m tall on hind legs)

We also measured ourselves against it

Science experiment: the kids held their hands in the snow for as long as they could.

Then we used a bag (within a bag) of lard to protect our hand from the cold.  This simulates the layer of fat beneath a polar bear's skin.
